Did you know that here at Hogwarts... [rl w/ Brittany]
[ The soft glow of the floating candles illuminated the corridor where she stood waiting for Brittany. It was just an hour and a half shy of curfew, not the ideal time to be meeting up, but it was also Christmas Eve and being alone was the very last thing Santana wanted tonight. Suppressing a shiver from the cold dampness seeping down into the castle dungeons, she pulled her heavy cloak a little tighter around herself and began to pace. ]

Sorry. Stairs got me.

[ Santana holds both of her hands out for Brittany to take, although her fingers barely extend past the sleeves of her cloak. ]
I've got something special for you. It can't wait until morning.

You do? Is it a pigmy puff? I lost mine. I think I sat on it and if I did, I'm going to feel really bad.

... Britt, if you sat on it, I'm pretty sure you'd know. But, uh. We can get you another one if you really can't find it.
[ After a slight moment of hesitation--surreptitiously glancing either way down the corridor--she leaned up and pressed a soft, lingering kiss along the underside of Brittany's jaw. ]
That's not it, though.

I like surprises almost as much as I like you.

Well then I can only hope it lives up to expectation.
Let's get you inside though, before anybody sees...
[ Rules were always fairly relaxed around the winter holidays, due to the simple fact that less students meant less staff were kept around to enforce them, but Santana was sure that getting caught sneaking Brittany -- a Hufflepuff -- into the Slytherin dormitories to spend the whole night would surely be met with disapproval, if not outright punishment. But they'd managed it before in third year, the only other Christmas break they'd both spent at Hogwarts, and that when they were both younger and far less clever, so Santana was already feeling giddy with what felt like another certain victory. ]

Is there anyone else in there this time of year?

[ Although Slytherin house was no longer quite so prejudiced as it once was, the fact of the matter still remained that the majority of the older students in her house were pureblooded and, subsequently, almost guaranteed to go home to their posh family houses every holiday, whereas more of the younger incoming Muggleborns lacked that kind of luxury. Still, at the end of the day, even a kid from a bloodline like hers could get stuck here on a bad deal. ]
We should have the 7th year dorm all to ourselves.
[ She made a show of reaching up to cover Brittany's ears, before whispering the password. That way, if anyone did find out, she could at least defend herself as not having shared so-called private information (never mind the fact that the passwords always seemed to be serpent-themed, and that Brittany could probably guess on her own if she really tried). ]
